Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) is an entrance exam conducted all over India for admission into the three Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) campuses, such as, the BITS Pilani Campus, the BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus, and the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. BITSAT is also conducted for getting an admission in the Dubai campus.
Eligibility:
For B. E., M.Sc (Tech),M.Sc (Hons) and B.Pharm (Hons)
- Should have passed Class XII or its equivalent from a recognized Central or State Board in 2020 or 2021.
- Should have an aggregate of at least 75% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry Subjects.
For B. E., M.Sc (Tech),M.Sc (Hons)
- Should have an aggregate of at least 60% in each of the subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry individually.
For B.Pharm (Hons)
- Should have an aggregate of at least 60% in each of the subjects like Mathematics/Biology, Physics, and Chemistry individually.
Note – International students are also eligible to apply for the exam with a passport and valid SAT scores.
Syllabus:
The syllabus for BITSAT constitutes all the topics covered in class 11 and 12 of the central boards of examinations such as CBSE, ISC and state boards. The subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.

If a candidate opts Dubai/ Kathmandu as exam centre, he/she will not be asked for any other preferred centre and will be allotted in Dubai centre only.
Restriction on Attempts:
Students who are appearing for the 12th class examination in the current year or who have passed 12th class Examination in previous year are eligible to appear in the BITSAT test.
(i.e) A candidate can appear only 2 times for BITSAT.
- 1st attempt – when they are appearing 12th.
- 2nd attempt – next year of appearing 12th.
Preparation Tips:
- The candidates should be aware of the BITSAT Syllabus 2021 and exam pattern to crack the exam with a good score.
- The candidates should focus on the concepts which have a greater weightage using the reliable BITSAT sources.
- The candidates should solve BITSAT previous year question papers and practice mock tests.
- The candidates should begin their BITSAT exam preparation with NCERTs
- The candidates should prepare short notes and make a specific timetable to cover the syllabus of the BITSAT exam on time.
- The candidates should revise every topic for the BITSAT exam at least two times before the exam.
- The candidates should focus on time management while preparing for the BITSAT exam as it is crucial to get good scores.
